14th October

It has been a time of adjustment yet again with Jesse coming back and Chloe going.
As I said before it is hard finding Jesse a good playmate. I have tried walking him with Sprite but she will not play with him and runs home from the walk. I tried him out with Saffy but when he tries to play with her she thinks he is trying to steal her ball and gets protective, Angel hates him and means it but he does not seem to realise so that is a no go. Lexus will play with him but will not stop and Khan then gets jealous and barks!
That leaves Boycie, who i had thought would be too rough but in fact is not too bad, we have walked them together at Blackheath with Boycie on the extension lead and Jesse off which went quite well.
It is not really working having Jesse integrated in the home though as there is always something else going on. Now he has tasted freedom it is very hard for him and feel very sorry for him and know he is missing Lara and Moose.

I am missing Chloe but she is having a great time. I saw her on Thursday where we walked her with Jesse (ironically they love each other) Ernie and Alfie and two little girls in the pouring rain and mud. Despite everything she was fine and all is going well so far.

Angel this afternoon.
Apparently Val's photo shoot went well although it took a long time. Honey came out as the real star! We look forward to seeing the results.

I was rather surprised when I was in Pets at home last week to hear that they were selling raffle tickets for their charity week. As I think I mentioned, all their managers have changed. Traditionally this would be the week we were asked to do at least four days in store and sell the raffle tickets but this time no-one told us. Apparently we have been nominated as their chosen charity so we should receive whatever money is raised but it does seem disappointing we were not asked along.

It is the last in the series of Paul O Grady Dogs at Battersea tomorrow Monday 15th 8pm ITV 1
In last weeks episode they were doing T touch or Tellington Touch a form of massage to help the dogs relax.
Boycie in his lovely harness bought for him by Sally.
I have known about this for sometime as it is used on horses. I found out a bit more about it today and tried it on some of the dogs, Angel, Boycie and Jesse. I got some very interesting results, if nothing else it improves your relationship with the dog.

Dave called me in to watch the weather on Country file this evening  ( I normally sleep through it!) Lexus who had been 'helping' me chop carrots  padded through and launched himself onto Dave's lap catching the remote control. The screen went blank , we were on to Wednesday lunchtime by the time it came back! That Dog!
