I have recently spoken to two of our owners, both had dogs with certain issues which they have patiently worked through. They keep in touch providing me with regular updates and it is both encouraging and moving to hear how much they love their dogs and the lengths they are prepared to go to to solve their problems.
I am pleased to report Riley has settled well into his new home. Apparently he is more like a 10 year old than a 1 year old.

ReplyDeleteI tend to think with speaking to other people with rescue staffies on facebook and other forums i think we all tend to work thru the probs and not give up at the 1st hurdle ( like most people and why the dogs end on ur doorstep ! ) we know how much rescue dogs go through and it must be so hard for some dogs to get stability , i know for jim and i when harry had his aggression probs there was no way on this earth we would ever part with him and return him , we had behaviour training and even travelled 2 hrs every sunday to attend we worked thru it and even tho he is not perfect he has got loads better and im so proud of him.
