24th May

As many of you are probably aware, the answer machine on the rescue phone has stated for well over a year that we have no spaces to take dogs in. Despite this we have taken dogs in and people have left messages.
Having homed a few dogs recently I decided to change the message on Sunday night. We have already received five calls to take dogs in! I am hoping some of them are connected.
Often they ring on one number but leave another number or they are number witheld so it doesn't come up on my phone. It can take ages trying to decipher the number then ring them back, often then theyare no longer available when all the time you know you are probably going to be unable to help. If you do get them you become embroiled in their horrendous social circumstances and though unable to help worry for the poor dog and sometimes the people too. Also it can take hours on top of looking after the dogs in our care.
Walking dogs and phone calls make up the majority of my day.
