26th December

It is a bit chaotic here at the moment! After enjoying several weeks of having three foster dogs (our self imposed limit) we have gone up to four. Although this is temporary, until Jesse is clear of kc and can go to Kate, it is a bit of a shock, especially as three of them are pups of a similar age.

However, Chloe and Rosie seem to get on well and today I gave them a run together in the big top field.  Chloe chased Rosie round and round, I don't think Rosie has ever run so fast before and at one point she found another gear! They are both tired tonight, sleeping happily in their beds, thank goodness!
Considering the weather and limited hours of daylight I did quite well to get everyone out and exercised today but it is hard to keep them all happy all of the time!

Only four weeks until Christmas! How did that happen?
People are already starting to look back at the past year.
Last night I created pages for Jesse,Chloe and Rosie to go on the website.  Normally  I don't like putting puppies on the website because you get 'silly' people interested in them who just waste your time.
However this time we had to put them on, else we would only have had three dogs on there, Angel, Sparky and Tara.
Suddenly it dawned on me. Angel is the only long term dog remaining and she will have to be with us another year to reach Saffy and Jade's record of 21/2 years before they were homed.
When you are caught up in the day to day running it is easy to lose perspective, and I have been a bit down of late but last night I felt encouraged. We started this year with lots of dogs and with Jade and Saffy really sticking, but gradually through the year dogs have found homes and really good homes at that and now we find ourselves with a whole new gang to get to know and see move on.

Yes we are short of funds but hey ho that will come in when people see we are doing a good work.

I would like to thank all of you who have stuck with us through what has been one of the most challenging years since the rescue started.

We have received a further £50 towards our target.

That means our current total is :- £129.91
