Sally with Boycie at DD |
It is very difficult to find a suitable dog as they have to look like a full Stafford, be dog friendly and people friendly and not overly excitable but able to cope with the whole thing. We would do the morning and Val and Stuart take over with their wonderful dogs for the afternoon.
Boycie was a star, going into a spectacular sulk when Sally left him to look around the show. I am so glad he now has a lovely home of his own.
Sandi has come with me for the past two years, with her dog Kassi doing the greeting one year.
The first year we had a dog named Pixie who was a stray but stunning looking, she went to a home the following New Year.
I could not have gone this year as I am no longer part of Welfare but they did not have a SBT rescue stand this time but the Stafford Agility Display Team were there both days with our Guildford Girl Rhea, giving a great run on Saturday!

Anyway it was nice to have a day off and hear my husband play The Last Post on the bugle at the Remembrance Service.
Then my son and I walked Sprite and Rosie up onto the Chantries and put up posters for the Stafford Walk.
It worked really well with Rosie and Sprite as Rosie lacks confidence on walks on her own but was better with Sprite and as Sprite refuses to play she also settled even off lead. It is the first chance we have had to give her a really good run and tire her out. She met a Doberman called Ruby.
We shall certainly be walking those two together again.
