23rd April

It has rained all day here, starting around nine and it was still raining last time I looked. We need it of course, if not for the reservoirs but for the farmers, don't start me on that!
The dogs of course hate it, even when its not falling from the sky they hate it wet underfoot and it makes their paws sore.
Sam Keen came to do some training as it was so wet we decided to do some work in the town and took Boycie a walk up the high street. It was raining very hard then and Boycie was not at all impressed.

I have heard no more about the Dogs Today article but  bought a copy of the latest edition.. The next one is out on the 10th May and will presumably contain the article, with or without input from me and our dogs will appear in the Adopt Me section.
Sunday Pets At Home

I have spoken to Pets At Home and although it is not finalised yet they thought we had raised just under £500 which is fantastic. We are also owed nearly £360 from the Christmas Appeal which somehow got lost. The cheques will be sent to the store in the next two weeks. Then I can pay Sara back the money from Boycies little mishap!

We have a busy w/e on Saturday 19th May and Sunday 20th
On the Saturday it is Merton Dog Watch Event which Val is attending   and on the Sunday we will be at a dog show at Masters Park, Oxted organised by the Tandridge Dog warden to raise money for the Staffies she has in.

Pets At Home gave us three bags of discontinued stock of harnesses, collars and leads which we hope to sell.

  1. An excellent fund-raing result. but that rain ... Staffies hate it, but I reckon Monty has three times the excercise as on the homeward legt of our seven miler, he runs backwards and forwards as if to urge me to quicken my pace home, warm towels and treats
