We have a name for her! She is called Sandy! Tara the Dog Warden told me today. She had also spoken to the family who are aware of our plans and are happy to hand her over as they know she should not be living as she is but cannot cope due to their disabilities.
Walked Piglet(Piggy) and Jade at Blackheath this evening. Blackheath is a large, sandy heath close to us popular with dog walkers and horse riders. Piggy needs a good off lead run at least once a day, our other alternative is an hours walk but with lots of lead walking either end so it depends how much time and energy I have as to where we go. There were only two cars in the carpark tonight compared to five last night. We met the occupants returning soon after we started our walk, both have two dogs apiece but Piggy took no notice of any of them she was more interested in chasing birds! She is excellent meeting other dogs on a walk but she sure can run! I wish we could find a home for her, she really deserves to have someone's entire attention which as a foster home we just cannot do.
Some response to our appeal already, thank you, but still no homes.
